Generation 1: Morris Seely

Born: 1795 New York State
Parents: Unknown
Married: Catherine Huffman, on April 25th, 1827
Passed: July,1847 in Hamilton County Ohio. Morris was living with his son William M. Seely and daughter-in-law Helen in Cincinnati, Ohio at the time of his passing,
Buried: Unknown "See Below"
* Son William M. Seely, purchased a single grave in Section: 72 Lot: 1354, at Woodland Cemetery in Dayton, Ohio. It re-mains unknown as to whom, officially, is buried there.
But, the site of this single grave is located across from Catherine Ann Huffman-Seely's burial site. Catherine was wife to Morris and mother to William M. Seely.
William M. Seely also purchased a whole section at Woodland Cemetery where his wife, children, brother, and grandson are buried. Strong speculation is, as Morris was banned from being buried with his wife Catherine, as he lacked the approval of Catherine's parents William and Lydia Huffman, Morris was "re-located" to this single grave and a time when smaller cemeteries were being dismantled to make way for Dayton, Ohio's expansion. This single plot was a son's attempt to unite his parents, in their after life, the best he could. Morris passed in a hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. Son William was 19 years old at the time and was running a Dry Goods Store at the time of his Father's death, also in Cincinnati, Ohio. William Morris Seely married a year later on October 27th, 1848 in Hamilton, Ohio.
